Using knowledge of termite habits, careful attention to detail, and a flashlight, termite inspectors look for signs of termite activity.
Dogs can smell what termite inspectors cannot see.
If there is no visible damage on a wall, many termite inspectors will clear a home for termites.

Mr. Hadley started HT&PC in June of 1993.
Back then, most of his customers came to him via his mother, or what was know as the Evelyn Avera network.
Soon after that, people called him for service because of his honesty and dedication to his customers.
HT&PC started out small in Lillian, AL and now we have customers all over the Lower Alabama area.
I was looking for one thing I could do, and do really well.
It was Divine Providence that that we started a pest control company when we did.
I'm very proud of all that we have done as a company.

We purchased Cricket in 2000 from a South Florida firm that is no longer in business.
Cricket had been rescued from a animal shelter and everyone who had ever met her, knew that this was a Very Special Dog.
Cricket was a teriffic show-n-tell dog.
We could take her to any event and guarentee that she'd act like a lady.
She toured schools, real estate offices, and community centers with her handlers and was never less than loving to every person she met.
We lost our princess in 2012, the last Friday of February, to a heart that had been failing for a long time.

Fleas are hard to get rid of once they have invaded your home.
Fleas have a complete life cycle, which means that they start off as an egg, hatch into a larvae, cocoon into a pupae and then hatch into an adult.
In two phases of that life cycle, the egg and the pupae stages, the flea is virtually un-kill-able.
The thick "skin" of the egg and the pupae won't allow chemical to penetrate, and they can linger indefinitely in those stages until conditions are right for them to eat and reproduce.
Hadley Termite & Pest Control always, Always, ALWAYS stresses to vacuum your home before and after treatment.

Can you, the homeowner, tell the difference?
The graphic on the left illustrates a winged swarming ant, (A.) and a winged swarming termite (B.).
These characteristics are easily seen either with the naked eye, or with a magnifing glass.
Also, if the swarm in question is termites, their wings will fall off very shortly after the swarm begins.
The Graphic to your right illustrates the level of termite activity in the United States.
Red indicates the highest level of termite activity.
Notice that we, here in Lower Alabama, are smack in the middle of all that red-ness.
